I feel a bit sorry for Sigurdsson, he’s so pre occupied with Martina that he doesn’t really get a chance to influence anything, He needs to play through the middle. We badly need a left back, until we get one I can’t see us doing anything, he’s just terrible.
I do feel a bit bad for slating him last week after watching this today.

Can somebody pass me the gravy please...

It's a team game and he's playing on the left. If the full back is occupied with the opposition winger then I expect Sigurdsson to be occupying the space around their full back.

Martina shouldn't have followed Son's run into the box, Holgate or Jags should have taken that man and allowed him to go back wide to mark Aurier. He's not a left back, we all know that, so I expect Jagielka to be directing him and Pickford as well.

He's a very limited footballer but that wasn't a result of any of physical or technical deficiencies but a failure in the team holding a solid defensive shape allowing Aurier to occupy that space on the right and that's a team failure as well as Martina's.
The problem was both CBs where out of position and Martina was left covering two players.

Looking at the goal, Jags has a lot to do with it. Leaves Cuco with no chance.
Is right mate. I'm coco's biggest critic but he had to go inside to cover for jags. Just because of jags being out of position the whole of the left side got pulled about. Not sure about the other 3 or 4 times aurier got free though
