If you're going to play without two natural wingers then the players who are on the pitch instead need to be prepared to make intelligent movements out wide when necessary. Neither Eto'o or Barkley are doing that at the moment. If we want them both on the pitch and neither is willing to go wide then you have to sacrifice Besic, move Barkley back alongside Barry and get a winger on the right.

Bobby needs to get tough.
Hoddle thinks he 'will be happy with half despite losing'.

Its is like playing with 10 men. Ross marking Sam out the game. Seamus no one to pass to down the line.
So we are inhibited going forward and have our usual bad passing from the back still in place to shoot us in the other foot.

Not beyond the lads to get back in this, but change is needed or could get worse.

It annoys me the way whenever the transfer window comes round, everyone names all type of players we should be going after, and virtually no-one says we need a new goalkeeper. It is number one priority as far as I'm concerned: I have literally lost count of the mistakes, and points he has cost us. He is beyond being a liability now, the odd good game isn't good enough. Robles isn't good enough so time to get the chequebook out. I won't hold my breath.

You can set your clock by Martinez's subs. Mirallas off 60th minute, then no more subs until the 82nd, regardless of what the score is. Osman will be one of those subs. Most predictable manager in the world
which is sad because thats literally what moyes got stick for as well. Last season Martinez made boss change after boss change. This season? Nope..

The congestion on our left is ridiculous yet no one linking with Coleman on the right effectively. Eto'o appears to be occupying that role but merely makes short passes inward. No crosses from either full back either...were passing ourselves to death and inaccurately to boot. Theres plenty of blue shirts defending the box, but its disturbing the way they persistently back off and don't attack the ball. If this persists, we could throw this away completely. Hope they've had a kick up the arse in the dressing room.
