If i was a betting man I'd put literally everything on a 1-3 win for us. Why? Because it's what we do. In theory, we shouldn't beat Spurs. Especially late in the season when THEY have something to play for. Especially when we're down in the dumps. Especially when our club is really downbeat.

But that's what we do. Always. We get a result when we SHOULD, in theory, lose. Just before we played City I was speaking with a bartender who is a big City lad. We were talking the run in and he ran down the list of teams City had to face. I told him he's insane if he thinks we were a relatively "easy" win because we, almost literally, do the opposite of what we SHOULD do every.single.time.

Saw him the week after we drew with him and he didn't even say anything, just poured my beer and had the house pay for it.

We know Everton. What's more likely, we get turned over in a game that we should be getting turned over in? Or, rather comfortably, beating a team desperate to stay alive in something we have literally nothing to play for?

I admire your optimism. But if there is one thing that trumps your theory, it's the realisation that you can always rely on Everton to let you down.

2-0 Spurs. Contract extension for the Moyesiah. Tomas Soucek plucked from Championship obscurity.

In what world does thinking we will lose if Tarks/Keane play equate to wanting to lose. The Moyes supporters must be getting worried.

Lose if it helps sack Moyes?

🤣 You’re reading a lot into liking a post.

Always want Everton to win but being realistic Moyes will be selecting the same defence again so the evidence of the last x games is we will concede 2 or 3 which means we won’t win as we don’t create chances.

Don’t hope we lose but if we do lose hoping some good comes from it so the post has merit. 😀

I don't think there's much into reading agreeing with a poster wanting us to lose a football match. But beep bop away.

A couple milleniums, reposts by crackpots in 40 different languages, for countless numbers of cultures and you'll go down as apostle Pablo so don't worry, you'll have your revenge.

Tough one to call this, but I believe human nature will play a part and subconciously some Everon players will want to do a Richie a favour.
I'm not suggesting for one minute they will throw the game, but I think some won't be giving it 101%.
As humans it's difficult to inflict pain on an old friend and he was very popular here.
I will be very surprised if we even get a draw for the above reason plus the fact we are dog turd at the back.
Our last 6 games we have coceded 14 goal, Spurs have conceded 7.
If I was the Spurs manager I would play Richie from the start, get him talking to our players and hope.
