Not sure anyone wants to ban betting. Just think we need tighter controls. Like with smoking - no advertising! It’s would seem ridiculous to have cigarette advertising on shirts and during half time at the football.

The whole industry is spending millions on advertising and sponsorship. It is polluting my kids heads who are trying to watch football and I have to explain that it isn’t “free”, or so easy to win. I know people that have lost 50k plus on betting sites. It can happen to anyone and it being pushed on a new genration like never before.

Totally agree. I'm not sure which company it is but it's making online betting seem the 'cool' thing to do. Personally, I'm embarrased by the fact our sponsor is SportPesa. I would certainly never buy a shirt with it on.

Yes but it is pushed. You have cheeky bet on the National every year then you offered free bets. This is like 80s when parents would tell you that dealer give you your first try of drugs free so you are instantly hooked.

It’s a fair point, jars with me that they sponsor us versus our people’s club image (and the EITC work).

The r fell off my shirt, I feel better with Spotpesa on me shirt
