Spanish for little fly

Ten years ago, while on holiday in Greece. Normally I very seldom get bitten by mosquitos. One of my mates was less lucky though. Every night he got bitten beyond belief. Used all the anti-mosquito recepies he could find, but it didn't seem to help. Was covered all under those little buggers bites, when waking up, while I didn't have a single one.

Last night of my stay at Chersonisos, we had a bbq at the place we stayed and I was sat next to my friend. At the end of the night, I was literally covered in mosquito bites and it was itching beyond belief.

Don't know, if it had anything to do with this, but he isn't a friend of me anymore.

I keep the little sods away by lighting my Kelly Kettle (®).

Then I can make a brew and slip a few green leaves down the chimney to make enough smoke to keep the critters away.

I don't want to come over all Ray Mears or anything......

Wouldn't want to stain his khakis.

* Coat + Gets = me

I'll take mosquitos any day over mites .
Mites tunnel under your skin and lay eggs , then each baby mite does the same . Your body has an allergic reaction and you scratch untill you bleed but can never see the buggers . It can take months to get rid of them , and they're not fussy where they bite . :unsure:
