With Richarlison out, that's a hit to our goal potential. Sigurdsson needs to come in, Gomes needs to drop out. Other than DCL (who can't have all the burden for our goals) and James (who is just a glorious vision in blue), we don't have that many goals in our more advanced departments. Gomes provides nothing, Allan is, effectively, a defender, and Doucoure is hardly prolific. Gylfi has to come in. There's always a goal in him. Thankfully, Mina and Keane are worth a goal or two every few games. Iwobi really needs to chip in now. Opportunity knocks for that lad. Time to take it.

Mina Vs Ings, big worry that

....and Keane. As I posted a few times, Ings will be chuffed at the prospect of playing against that pair. He’s not fast, but he’s clever at exploiting the space behind immobile CBs.

I know every game is difficult, but this is a real test, especially without Richarlison. I think this game is lots to do with how clever Ancelotti is at setting us up.

I’d play the following:

Olsen
Kenny Keane Godfrey Digne
Allan Bernard Doucoure
Rodriguez DCL Gordon

Carlo almost certainly won’t do that.
Is Kenny fit? If he is I'd start him but I think we might have Godfrey at RB.

And no he isn't going to drop Iwobi for two players that his patterns of using players indicate he thinks are worse than Iwobi.

Either Bernard or Iwobi in the middle, happy with either.
I think what we are getting is the same team as the RS with Iwobi in for Richarlison and Kenny/Godfrey for Coleman. Maybe he is fed up with Gomes but if he is it'll be a normal midfielder getting the spot. The fact that Gomes lasted 75 minutes Saturday suggests to me he isn't concerned about him.

Due a pen.

I do not mind giving these a hammering in their own ground. Can see Dom getting a few here, might put a few pound on Doucoure to score at anytime.
