These don't look anything special

If we weren't Everton tonight's game would knock their confidence. As we are Everton it'll probs inspire them to come out all guns blazing this weekend

Need to be winning these ones if we want 7th

Southampton have employed a very very impressive manager who has achieved great results in a big European league and was wanted by Bayern Munich

he has already beaten Arsenal and got them playing a very nice brand of football.

no transition needed at Southampton.

we are 6 months in to Silvas 'free season ...

They were very, very impressive last night weren’t they, Frank!

This is the team I expect.

Pickford
Coleman Keane Zouma Digne
Gueye Gomes
Lookman Sigurdsson Bernard
Richarlison

I would go.

Pickford
Kenny Keane Zouma Digne
Gueye Gomes
Walcott Bernard Lookman
Richarlison

I would take Sigurdsson out as we need to see if we can find another way of ppayung as I feel he slows everything down. Lookman did well on the right but I feel he would be more effective on the left. Bernard is the best alternative we have as a number 10 and with that front 4 we could be fluid as Lookman and Bernard could switch about as could Walcott and Richarlison. This would make them difficult to set up against as if they all interchange defenders could have different players to pick up within the game. With 20 minutes to go bring DCL and Sigurdsson on with all the extra space for them to exploit with Sigurdsson passing and DCL pace.

No excuse to not absolutely ravage these as 1. they're crap, 2. we've had a week to prepare, 3. they suffered a humiliating defeat after 120 minutes just 2 days before the game.

From the outset no excuses....but things happen i games sometime that are definitely excuses but out of our control. Like refs being nobbers, injuries and so on.

But no excuses from the things we can control seems fair.
