Most of our players give 100% every time they pull on that Royal Blue Jersey. Our lack of success is not due to a lack of effort. Many of our players simply aren't good enough. It's as simple as that. That's not their fault, though. It's the fault of a certain Dutchman who signed them.

As for Big Sam: as much as I loathe his style of play he has taken us from 13th to the top 8. That's no mean feat with this squad of players.

BFS's reign has seen a total lack of ambition and massive under-achievement.

Luckily for me, my social diary will spare me the spectacle of once-mighty Everton v struggling Southampton.

However, I no longer feel obliged to stay until the final whistle nor, indeed, compelled to attend every game.
