Yeah it still seems pretty ambiguous to me. Hearing some people say 'mar-oo-warr-na' or 'marr-wane' or 'marr-oo-wane'. or even mar-one.

ma-roo-an-er could just about be right. Lose the r though. Ma-Roo(like the surname of Shrek)-aa(pronounce like in v/d vAArt and the ne like in zidaNE.
