Will surely go down as one of the strangest decisions by a Premier League club ever. What did they have to lose by just waiting until the end of the season?

Didnt he have a dead easy fixture list in the league as well? Then fluked that PSG (?) result? Or have I confused him with someone else?

Wait, why are people slagging them off? Glass houses and all that....

Also, I thought they were meant to be our 2nd favourite team or have City taken that role now?
I dont mind United but want them to fail as we should be targeting there top 6 spot.
However, even now Liverpool are still obsessed with them as much as us, which is funny

Well, their squad cost them 820 million pounds and it is "the worst in the last 30 years" according to Peter Crouch, per the BBC today. It's like when Rodgers burned through all the FSG investment to marginally (if at all) improve the side, except that United have gotten worse while spending a lot more.

My son adopted United when his two favorite players (Schweinsteiger and Zlatan) went there (and probably also to irritate me, as I've loathed United for two decades on the basis of their fans here in the US). It's brought him nothing but misery. All we do is slag one another off about whose team is worse. Right now with Rashford out, I think it's them.

Of course, the difference between our two clubs is that our squad didn't cost 820 million pounds. They've been more wasteful, but it would probably be easier for them to recover the situation given the gulf between our revenue streams. Of course, they'd have to appoint someone other than Woodward to do it.

Anyone on here going the game on Sunday? I went on Thursday to the Watford game to be nosey, wasn't great to be honest but Tranmere did score two.good goals.
The pitch is shocking, even by the standards of the 70s pitch its bad, United will hate it, in fact I'm not convinced they will risk certain players, and Tranmere would love a draw

Ole is the best United manager since Fergie and United have the best young squad in the league better than Liverpool. Rashford, Martial, Pogba, Harry McGuire, Jesse Lingard. Chelsea also having problems with young players so I wouldn’t worry about United. Anyone who wants Ole sacked shouldn’t call themselves a United supporter.

Best man for the job when I chat to red manc.

But what on earth were they doing had a woeful record when at Cardiff and some allegations by fans about transfers and agents. Pretty sure they would have had sniff at our Carlo if we had not snaffled him.

Long may Ole reign.

Lingard is 27... Pogba & Maguire 26

They ain't youngsters

Hope he has a good cup run that keeps him in the job, maybe lose in the final. We can eclipse them next season if they keep Ole and their transfer targets keep moving away from world class toward "once played in the premier league"
