Sealed his eventual fate when he said Pogba was going to be out for longer because "his people say he needs an operation".

What a ridiculous thing for a Manchester United manager to say, that basically he has no authority over a player or his training regime. Embarrassing.
I actually think Tranmere will KO them this weekend, then ole is in serious trouble.

Saying Man City playing a strong side against them which showed that United have “gone places” has to be right up there.

In terms of greatest ever quotes, David Moyes, manager of the defending champions Manchester United, going into a Manchester derby, said Man City were “the benchmark”. That’s very close to the top of the tree for me. The man was an imposter at that club, Fergies doing, and it’s been downhill since.

Roy Hodgson at the RS had some absolute classics too. Northampton Town, of league two, would be “formidable opponents”.

Wait, why are people slagging them off? Glass houses and all that....

Also, I thought they were meant to be our 2nd favourite team or have City taken that role now?

I don't think are rules about who we are allowed to make fun of. If we all live in glass houses, I reckon its a good time to start throwing some stones. Rebuild them out of a sensible material. Like spiders.

I remember my Man U supporting father - in - law when Solskjaer got the job saying to me that it was a great appointment, and that he would take no crap of the likes of Pogba etc. He also said that Solskjaer would put the heart and soul back into the club and get them competing again. As you can imagine, I'm having some fun repeating what he said back to him.

My brother in law is the same. Ole is the man... 'the United way' what a load of crap.

I keep reminding him before fergie the 'utd way' was the 2nd Division

Saying Klopp got four years as some sort of requirement for himself is a shameless comparison.

A world class manager, Klopp had pedigree before arriving in England, before United Ole has had Molde and relegating Cardiff. It’s not like he’d been tearing it up in the Norwegian league either.

One of the worst results for United when Ole was interim manager was the 1-0 win at Spurs. A bigger hiding to a team that somehow got the three points you won’t ever see. Spurs had more shots at goal in one half of football since Opta began taking stats. De Gea was an octopus in that game, pulling off saves all over the place. When judging where a team is at, performances are always more important than results, as results can paper over cracks. Perform well, and the results will come. United were unduly praised during that spell where he nicked a few results. It gave a false impression of where they were at.

Ole (club legend, brought a feel good factor) as an emergency interim manager was fine, but to properly give him the job was sheer incompetence. It would be akin to giving big Dunc the job here.
