Can someone tell me where it says that Moyes was given **** all to buy some players?

Or are people getting all pissy because we didnt buy a world class £20million central midfielder?

I'm getting all pissy because the manager has been left disappointed again.

I don't want to go back to the days before David Moyes.

Few weeks ago;

"We are not ready as far as the squad goes, we want more players in. We let a few go in the summer - Andy van der Meyde, Lars Jacobson, Nuno Valente - and we have not replaced any of those players yet. "If we want a run in Europe we need more players quickly. The search goes on, it has never stopped all summer and I am feeling a bit demented with it all now!
"Apart from a couple of clubs, the transfer activity around the country has been limited. But for us, to have finished fifth and reached a cup final, to improve on that costs a lot of money.
"But we don't have that money. So trying to find players who are cheap, don't want much wages and will come here to improve us, well, it is not easy.''
This week

Moyes (this week after signing Bilyaletdinov) "I would be disappointed if we didn't get at least four, maybe more,"
Yesterday

"With the position Everton are in, I think we should be entitled to go out and spend the cash," said Moyes. "We have made a profit in the last couple of years.
"We want a club which keeps aiming to progress, so I'm going to push the board really hard not just to spend the Joleon money but to spend more."
"You can't be at the top of the league and want to be at the top of the league and not invest in the team. The team needs investment"
Anyway, don't know why I'm moaning on here, not my style that. *Goes to walk the dog*

I know i,for one didnt expect a 20 mill midfielder but then again i'm a realist and see that yes we've used the Lescott cash well just wish the club would have been a little more upfront with everyone and say yup we're not in a position to buy player x from real madrid for 30 sqillion etc and go after players that we can sign.

This we did and its good to see but why oh why did we have to wait for them again..this is the one thing thats got on my paps the seasons 2 weeks old they should have been signed through the close season now we have to play catchup again.

Again, who's to blame though?

Players we didnt get but went for (official) -

Naughton
Banega
Van Der Vaart
Defour

3 of them are quality world class players. What happened?

Is that because Moyes had no money? Or isnt because the clubs didnt want to sell for a number of factors? Or timing?

IMO It looks a better transfer window than last year where only 1 player ever got regular games and Saha when fit.

This year we've bought 2 internationals, one of which swapped Champions League football and £60k a week to come over, and a Premier League veteran with years left in him.

Again, were we wanting Moyes to buy that world class player for £20million and the fact he didnt means the board are to blame for that?

Johnny Heitinga, £6million, champions league and Dutch international regular. Michael Turner, £12million, played for Hull City....

That's what this transfer window is this year. Minus that bargin of £2mill for Kranjcar to Spurs, everything has been over priced.

i know BK has often messed up and i hav slaughtered him before on certain subjects but at times i think he need a break ( no guys not literally)
geta guy in ( usually foreign) who is loaded means instant pressure your talking bout been in the hat to win everything str8 away managers heads roll far too easily and much more quickly under this system........youth isnt given the same chance

would i like for £m to be pumped into our club for diffrent reasons ...absolutely
would i like it to be from some of the " owners" out there now .........not a chance

I think all we want at the end of the day is a manager who will back Moyes.

And wont move us to Kirkby

at the end of the season DM said his squad was to small then he rightly get rid of some players deemed not good enough in his opinion or to old, castillo, valante, vdm, jacobson, then lescoot goes so five players out and 3 new ones in i know we got a couple of americans and mustafi and garbutt but they arnt first teamers , the assurances he got from the club that he wouldnt be in the same position as last year come transfer window were absolutley unexceptible , and now whatever people say proves that we were not going to give the manager money how can the board or kenwright deny it, nothing at all happend until lescott was basically shoved through the door then all of a sudden we were after someone( billya\) its not that im unhappy with the sighnings davey has made far from it ,i am unhappy with that he hasnt got more like he said after billy 4 more, the support from the club is not good enough 44.5 mill from sky , we never spent any money last year as fellaini came from the andy johnson money and mcfaddens where is the money we havent even spent all of the lescott fee ( i know wolves get 3 mill before someone says so ) im frustrated with it all we have smaller squad than last year basically and i fear that davey boy is not far from getting peeed off with it all dont forget only last year he nearly gave it all up . good luck to the new boys just wish we had some more for depth of squad as we have lots more games in europe to and johny h cant play as he played for a madrid

We do have a fairly big sqaud now TBH

Thats a good point that, thats not bad at all really.
I think why everyone is a bit anxious now is that were without our best player and we struggle for a similar replacement.
When Artetas back aceness will resume.

Show me where the club is holding him back. He isn't going to buy players for the sake of it. He identifies them and then pursues them. A lot of his signings are never mentioned in the press and come as complete shocks. There is the slightest, smallest chance that the players HE identified couldn't be brought here under reasonable terms.

I think that we will not pay over the odds is fiscally responsible in a high risk market that is made even worse by Manchester City's recent antics of throwing money at the problem.

Look at Hull for crying out loud.....12 million on a rookie with minimal potential! It is RIDICULOUS and I am glad we will not be a part of it.

I have just shed a few tears

with ghost here ++rep tpe stuffs
