Hardly missed an away league F.A.Cup or Leauge Cup game 1975-85, also weird trophies like Texaco cup,Simmod cup, Full members cup etc. Plus Uefa cup excersions. Strangest ground was probably Finn Harps, no floodlights, afternoon kick off and the seats in the directors box were borrowed from the local cinema (ashtrays and ciggie stubbers included)...............Those were the days my friend we took the Stretford End.......................we travelled far and wide we went to Tyneside but there was only one place I wanted be........................................................Who will ever forget The Blue Streak Specials from Lime St.? It's what Saturdays were all about. C.O.Y.B.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

....one of the strangest places was v Wimbledon at Plough Lane. I think it was a televised FA Cup game on a Sunday. The back of the stand was like somebody's front room with a fire burning away. I went the toilet and one of the W'don players was in there with his kit/boots on. I suppose places like Plough Lane, Filbert St etc are worth accounting because we wont see the Blues grace such places again. By the way, Wimbledon beat us in a bruising encounter.

I went to the first league game at Plough Lane in the old Div1. We won 3-0 but always remember a double decker bus parked outside but had a view of the ground from the corner behind there end. They were all on the top deck walking to and fro so they could see as much as the game as possible. I was shocked at plough lane and put it down with Oxford as one of the worse.
