So what does the future hold for EFC

so why would he move? But then I have also heard he is a right royal pain in the arse at the moment and the real reason why we are not signing any players, even though he has had a substantial amount since May. So I wouldn't be too gutted if he did go.

Im not saying your wrong Nick. As i hav'nt a clue. An you have a source at the club.

But it's makes no sense to me what so ever. Why would he dither this long?. An why come out an say he's frustrated?

Nick,

Humour me for a second. I know you and Rossy are now bessie mates since you kissed and made up:P is it possible he's perhaps using that to his, and the clubs advantage?

Knowing that you're an established and respected member of one of the more sensible net forums he could see feeding you the Club line as an ideal opportunity to get the Club's message disseminated in a more 'credible' way than posting it on the OS.

Putting my conspiracy theorist's hat on for a second (am at work and bored, can you tell?). If Davey were getting pissed off at a lack of funds and threatening to walk, would it not be worth the Club (in damage limitation terms) to start putting about the message that he was back to his old 'dithering' ways; and it was he, not the Club, that was responsible for the lack of new players coming in? Leaving people such as yourself saying

Now I'm not suggesting for a minute that the Club's PR and Spin Machine is in any way that smart or sophisticated (not on recent evidence certainly ), nor would I dream to suggest that would be so easily flattered and taken in by the tidbits of priveledged information (knowing you for the cynic you are:D)... am just playing Devil's advocate, because it's more fun and constructive than working

Don't over estimate the impact this forum has. Lets be honest its what it is, a forum. A place for people who are on the internet to chat about football. It holds no sway over the club in any way, and I'm fairly sure the powers that be at Everton are not arsed what is said here, who is pissed off at whatever.

As head of communications, I am pretty sure Ian Ross will be arsed what is said on forums. It wasn't that long ago he was threatening a forum with legal action...

Which forum was that?
More than one admin has said Ross has contacted them and asked them to remove stuff. It is well known he reads these forums, and there were strong suspicions that he wrote to at least 'Kipper. Kipper, of course is in the club's leash, so they have removed quite a lot of stuff the club didn't like.

opinions are cast on the forums and the club cant do anything about it, unless those in charge are getting free season tickets etc as sweeteners, they have a right to request things to be removed in the way that all of us do but if its only someones opinion then theres no real basis for asking.
we live in a free society where everyone is entitled to their twopenneth, most of us do anyway, i'm sure the must read some things and it give them an idea though, if they look through all of the forums though they must be very thick skinned with the amount of muck thrown their way, everyones glass is 1/2 empty at the moment and it's time for a refill.
we have a game this saturday and when everyones on their way home talking about those fantastic youngsters after our 5-0 romp it'll all feel much better.

Kipper relies on the club to provide players to their do's. So the club has Kipper by it's balls.

Dylan... They're on to us...

Monty,

Sorry that you feel the need to stay off of GOT for an extended period of time. I'd like you to stick around but if your health dictates that you don't, well that's certainly more important.

That said, I'd love for the issues between you and that "certain member" to come to a close. Just agree to disagree an move on. It's not worth you not spending time on GOT if in fact, that's the main reason you aren't coming on.

Just put the person on ignore and continue on with your contributions to the site. I know you've been missed and I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we'd rather have you on than off.

Take care of yourself,
TX

Many friends have sent me best wishes throughout the summer most of them knowing hat a trying time I’ve had and why I gave up posting for so long. In each case your friendship and wishes have been warmly received. Unfortunately I’ve come into the site today to make my final posting as I have no intention of remaining here whilst a certain ‘low life’ remains. My nephew got a warning last week because of a complaint from that individual who as always instigates arguments in a snide fashion......................I cannot afford having my blood reach fever pitch against some low life who wishes me dead. I will expect a warning from the moderators for telling the truth but what the hell.
Earlier this season I told you about Pongolle, it was thought at that time he would be heading to us with Teta going to Athletico, this broke down over money and then Athletico looked at injury records so they opted for the cheaper Pongolle It is my understanding that Philip Green has called in his debts to fund his investment in Spurs, any profits from last season have gone out of the window. I was surprised at AJ’s request to leave but he will not be a great loss and may be we will now get some more penalties depending on whether we have a future. Be warned Moyes may be off to Rangers, nothing has been said but it is his club amd the idiot Smith has been found out
I have read with distain some of the vitriol that has been aimed at Bill Kenwright, a fellow blue who has always done his best for the club. Why can’t he find a benefactor, the super mega rich individual, to back the clubs future, because we have always been a second best option in a city dominated by the Liverpool brand. No second city team in the world, with the exception on Milan, have that type of backing so what chance do we stand against the worlds most successful club side..........answer is simple.......no chance and remember the RS are struggling for investment themselves.
What was the alternative, build slowly, expand when you can, borrow here, borrow there but with a bit of luck we may just become a more attractive proposition. What assets do we have, Goodison Park, once the premier club ground in the world, the first purpose built stadium brought about by the actions of our blue forefathers and a place that I wanted my ashes scattering. Our ancient old ground is now a handicap, it is a tourniquet to any expansion, it is a tourniquet to any ambition, it is also about to be over shadowed by on of the largest purpose built stadia in the country, a stadium that predates the model T Ford will look cheap and nasty alongside Liverpool’s new theatre of dreams. Enlightened people can see this, many can’t.
The celebrations that greeted the governments decision to call in the proposed new ground has been akin to the passengers on the Titanic throwing a booze-up because the ship is sinking, bloody madness. With the financial problems taking place behind the scenes we may well be fortunate to escape liquidation before this new season is over, that will happen if Bill Kenwright pulled out now. Most had been saying that this was the worst pre-season ever, I would have argued long and hard against that recalling 50 years history, yesterdays news sounded the death knoll of our club and signalled the fact that the lunatics have taken over the asylum, I despair.
After 50 years a blue I wonder if it was all worth it. it transpires that my club have short sighted fans with no intelligence or ambition who wish to remain in a stadia that was state of the art in the nineteenth century. EFC have been killed by KEIOC yet some celebrate. The only other faction to rejoice at yesterdays ruling were Kopites who at least can see the full implications for our club which is more that can be said for a large section of Evertonians.

Monty mate, its a breath of fresh air to see you posting never mind reading as always your prefectly spot on points! What i have highlighted is exactly every thing i feel at the moment, but am to upset to think that concisely about. We i fear are dieing on our feet and people are celebrating that we are littrealy going to be in the Shadow of the Kopites! The ripples i fear have already begun within the club from a boardroom and footballing level due to the implications of this decison and are to catasphroic to imagine that they are going to happen. Its hard to take so many applauding such a terrible death as ours could be! Turkeys and Christmas come to mind!

It hurts me to hear that a true blue like you is questioning your faith, i would be lieing if i said i wasnt similarly! Im deeply hurt and devastated right now as you seem to be. But i know when that first ball is kicked and i hear Zcars in a weeks time, il know its a love that will never die, as i know you will!

Mate i know youl be back in your own time, i know youve seen down more startegic and loftier people then said person, so i hope and have faith youl be back. Your health is paramount, but this and any other Forum is a poorer place without you, lets face it, your one of the main reasons we are all here and ill never forget that. So we all have alot to be thankfull to you for.

Take care mate and best wishes to you and all those closest to you, the wishes of all your firends go with you in what i hope is your tempory absence!

Neil

Monty,

Just found this thread. I wish you all the best we have really been missing you this summer. I totally agree with everything you said. We can't live in the past we must keep moving on. I have had the same thoughts of the backroom troubles and lack of transfer activity. But the passion Bill provided on the Sky sports interview the other night reminded me when I was a kid and how much the night before I was excited to see Everton kick off at three o'clock on Saturday's. I just can't lose that and no matter how upset I get I'll always forgive and return to my expectations and hopes of future glories for the team. My mum bless her soul always said its always darkest before the dawn I think the future holds some exciting opportunities that don't seem apparent at the moment. Take care of yourself Monty never give up hope.(y)

there seem to be a lot of melodramatic doom-mongers posting at the moment. obviously there's much uncertainty regarding the club's future but nobody knows exactly how that future will unfold so let's ease up with all the doom & gloom. the last i saw we still have a good manager & a decent team, even though the squad may be a little light at the moment. i for one suspect everton will survive this crisis & maybe even emerge a little stronger as a result. let's support the manager & the team whilst we wait to see how things develop off-field. don't panic! (y)

Here, Here, Here.. Well put mate. No need at all to panic. Moyes is not going to leave us, we still have a good team, although a very threadbare squad, and most importantly, we still have the fantastic backing by us, the fans. A couple of signings and everyone should start to feel better about themselves.
