we see Aliens on having two legs, two arms, a head etc.
Speak for yourself bro.
we see Aliens on having two legs, two arms, a head etc.
There's also a counter argument. I personally don't agree with it, but there's a theory which suggests that instead of multiple origins of life, there was just one..on earth.Well, life happened here, so there's no reason why it can't happen elsewhere. That's how I see it.
But given how far away the nearest star is, the chances of us ever finding out about other life is pretty much zero.
Oh Christ, you mean there could be millions of Ash's out there? There's also a counter argument. I personally don't agree with it, but there's a theory which suggests that instead of multiple origins of life, there was just one..on earth.
Life starts in a single place and instance, and then goes on to spread life through the universe. And in fact, any future alien encounters, will be some form of mankind.
I think there's shed loads of life out there, but as you say, we will never find it, or it find us.
I've got a headache now.
Not yet. Not until he leaves our galaxy and spreads his intergalactic seed.Oh Christ, you mean there could be millions of Ash's out there?
elemental make up that YOU know. What about all the stuff that you or anyone else doesn't know about?Except as we've discussed, given the elemental makeup of the universe, life will pretty much have to be of a form within our comprehension.
Life does have to follow our rules. Cos it comes from fundamental principles about the birth of the universe. Go back a few pages, it was discussed then.elemental make up that YOU know. What about all the stuff that you or anyone else doesn't know about?
In an infinite space, are you really ruling out there is stuff out there we have no idea about?
And more to the point 90% of what we know of space is discovered through telescopes therefore have no idea if what we are looking at is true, we assume it to be true. so there is a massive element of the unknown.
which is my point, so much unknown out there, it is a little narrow minded to just assume life has to follow our rules and not any of the infinite number of posibilities out there

Mate, I'd double check that coil on your vape machine. Clearly it's sent some bad jazz into your cerebral cortex. But again you assume what the birth of the universe is. This is my point, we assume what it all is and therefore then follow its rules as a result. What if we are wrong on the birth of the universe? What is things don't follow how we perceive them?
I just believe that things should be questioned rather than accepted. People with big telescopes look at things far away and then tell us everything about them, what if they are wrong ? What if what we know is quite different to what is out there?
to say things HAVE TO follow our rules is exactly why we would never meet this life out there. Because this is thinking as what we are, primitive and niaeve, i don't believe for the thousands upon thousands of planets and infinite number of possibilities out there, that what we know is the rules of the universe. I actually would argue otherwise, we are only one of so many possibilities.
No i'm questioning what we humans with no knowledge of the universe understand. I personally don't think what a fella with a giant telescope knows is true, considering it is all guess work.Mate, I'd double check that coil on your vape machine. Clearly it's sent some bad jazz into your cerebral cortex.
I don't go with that either. I can't see any logical reason why life would only start in one place. There's also a counter argument. I personally don't agree with it, but there's a theory which suggests that instead of multiple origins of life, there was just one..on earth.

You'd have to question how life got to other planets, if you don't believe were alone.I don't go with that either. I can't see any logical reason why life would only start in one place.
the same way it got here? You'd have to question how life got to other planets, if you don't believe were alone.
Eh?the same way it got here?
