I like this suggestion. I don't think Wickham will be a world beater like some do, but we definitely need another striker.

Injuries haven't really given us a chance to see if he can make the transition from Championship to PL. He was very good at Ipswich, but £8M was a mad price for him. I think he's back now but not fitting in. A £2-3M or so punt would be worth it. He wasn't an O'Neil signing so he might be open to money.

looks worth a punt the few times i have seen him, it hard to judge a player at that level, the likes of whittingham at cardiff, or Grant Leadbitter at boro do a good job for them but it would be a gamble to see if they cut it in the prem, that young lad a birmingham that has been coming off the bench looks a hell of a future prospect cant recall his name

Not keen on Wickham to be honest. Would rather we spent our money (what little we have!) on players abroad where money goes further.
Vossen or Van Wolfswinkel would suit me up front (either loans or buy)
Lescott is a good shout although I still harbour a grudge against him for how he stitched us up.
Donovan also a good shout if his head and heart are in it cos Mirallas needs back up on that right wing.

apparently, the reason why teams like Everton were unwilling to sign Diame on a free this summer is that he has a heart condition where teams have to have a defibrillator on the sidelines at all times. If we wouldn't risk it when he was free, we certainly won't pay for him.

WHERES THE DEFIBRILLATOR MONEY BILL

Redmond?

How old is he now? Saw him a few times in the PL a couple yrs ago and looked a decent prospect then.
