We were linked with both Galloway and Ali but Spurs already had their hooks in him. The RS were linked with Ali first - Ibe was obviously a hard act to followI hope Galloway is a first team player for us one day. I really do.
Otherwise we will be the club who went to mk dons and signed Galloway and ignored delle Ali
To be fair here spurs didn't sign him for another 6 months and we had just had a great season at the time so by all means were an attractive prospect for a young attacking midfielder. Unless he genuinely just wanted to stay south (which does happen) then a bid and a good contract would have brought him here I believe. We were linked with both Galloway and Ali but Spurs already had their hooks in him. Perhaps, Ali was the one everyone was raving about back then so you'd hope we at least considered it!To be fair here spurs didn't sign him for another 6 months and we had just had a great season at the time so by all means were an attractive prospect for a young attacking midfielder. A season long loan will benefit both hugely.
Browning needs to stay fit and Galloway needs to play every week.
They are going to a big club, will be playing in front of big crowds every week and there will be a high level of expectation...great opportunities for both.
If I am honest I think Galloway has a better chance of coming back to play at Everton.
I think Galloway will be given a chance next season with us providing he does well, as you would imagine at that point Jagielka would be ready to leave and Williams still not getting any younger.
Trevor N Everton Snr.whose their manager?
Will he play at sunderland though? Oviedo at left back, Diabodje (spell) Kone, O'Shea, McNair all at centre back
Is writing Sland that much quicker just writing Sunderland?
Yes from what i read before, Ali was fairly adamant he wanted to stay in the London areaTo be fair here spurs didn't sign him for another 6 months and we had just had a great season at the time so by all means were an attractive prospect for a young attacking midfielder. True, but if they are good enough they will get a chance ala Coleman?Personally don't think so mate, there are reasons why it's Sunderland, if it's proven that they will be in the Championship for a year, the club get cheap players for a season with low revenue, the players get an opportunity to play integrate into the club, Everton get a loan fee and eventually a transfer fee. This is see being our new source of income. Walsh is all over this.
