Well as much as it hurts to say, I think Coleman will be better off with the loan move. As much as we wish, Coleman is not going to be 1st choice RB this season and when your behind Tony Hibbert and Phil Neville in the pecking order, perhaps a loan is for the best. Yes he had an amazing game against Spurs, but that was just one game, you could say he would help us for the race for Europe but basing that on one game is a tad silly. Further more, one of the clubs I would loan him to would be Blackpool, simply because they play a very nice style of football in a rough and tumble league, perhaps he will learn something or two to compliment his attacking style of play.

Best of luck to him there, and I have no doubt in my mind that we will be seeing a lot more of him next season.
 

Great move! He needs playing time - no doubt he will get a few caps during the summer that will only help his development.

Didnt Legithon Baines sit on the bench for almost the majority of two seasons as he needed to develop his game.

Yeah. I remember when he did get in the team, him pulling his hamstring during a barnstormer start to the game against Fulham on a very foggy day that the Yak got a hatrick.

But Baines settled down into things and now he's just been full England capped...

We dont want any of that rampaging down the line nonsense. Stick with Cap'n Phil, his stepovers and toe-enders onto the roof of the Gwladys Street.
 

Blackpool gaffer Ian Holloway delivered a blunt warning to his players after their draw with struggling Crystal Palace – improve or you’re out.

Seasiders manager ‘Ollie’ was furious as he watched Nick Carle and Darren Ambrose fire the visitors into a first-half lead.

Despite Charlie Adam and Ben Burgess rescuing a point for the home side, Holloway rapped: “The people I put out there against Palace let me down and let the club down.

“I expect my team to turn up to do their job and be mentally and physically ready but they didn’t.

“I’ve told the board what I think these lads can do, but if they don’t do it then they’re going to be the ones that suffer – it isn’t going to be me.

“I am going to be here working away to get this team to the top of the division and if they don’t want to be with me then they are not going to be here, it’s as simple as that.”

One player the Blackpool boss was pleased with was debut boy Seamus Coleman, who signed on loan from Everton last week.

He added: “I feel for Seamus because he was on the end of a 2-0 deficit in the first-half, but he kept going because it was nothing to do with him.

“He’s a terrific little player, he never gives up, gets galloping forward and he’s going to be really good.”

Pool loan star almost lost toe - Blackpool Today

Holloway on Coleman.....

"He has more discipline in his left toe than my whole squad has got.
He's a fantastic lad and he could well have been here already had things turned out differently. I was going to borrow him at the start of the season but it fell through because he had a terrible blister situation where he almost lost one of his toes. It went septic and the lad has been out most of the season. I was then given some money by the board and that allowed me to buy Eardley. But Coleman is a wonderful kid, as we saw on Saturday. Everybody around him was flailing and falling to bits and he just kept going and doing what he does. By the end of the game the fans were loving him. He was running with it and trying to get us back in the game. He never stops. In fact he's a bit of a Duracell bunny and it is great to have him."


He sounds good. I'd like to see him at Everton one day, maybe to replace Phil Neville. :unsure:
