newcastle - no

maybe at a a few others but not too many.

United - You think fletcher (i know he's injured) carrick and anderson are better? I know he's a winger but he can play centrally as well. IMO he'd definitely get a few games there.

City - He's better than Barry and Milner.

Newcastle - He'd walk into that team. Seriously bad choice.

Arsenal - Could definitely find a spot for him. He's certainly better than Arshavin is these days.

Rs- Fair play, he's only going to get more assists in his two months here than Downing will manage for the entire season but he's definitely not good enough for them. LOL.

Spurs - I dont think he'd start here.

Chelsea - Such a disjointed side since AVB took over that i dint know if he'd be any good there anyway,

2 assists roz in 6 weeks,,, come on your better than that,,,,, bet Barca are knocking our feckin door down ha ha.

I'm not going to respond to the eternal "he should be in Europe" arguments in this thread because they are exhausting and pointless. According to stats and national team performances, he is the best American of all-time. Period. Plus, he still has years to play.

But as for this quote above, please check your facts. He has provided 4 assists in our last 6 goals, and you could say that was 5 if you include the necessary cross into Fellaini for Cahill's goal.

5 out of 6 goals created by LD in 3.5 weeks actually. He is driving our offense right now, no matter what you say. I don't see anyone else doing what he is doing. Do you?

I'm disappointed that there are folks not thanking him for his service here, because if it wasn't for him and his 5 assists, think about where we'd be right now. Who knows what would have happened, but you can't argue with the existing stats.

You don't have to think he's a world beater, but at least say thank you instead of dissing the guy.

Sheez.

Oh, and I'm mad he's missing the derby too, would have loved to see another weapon against the RS.

dont know y people slate him hes done nothink but lift us in both stints but he should defo want to better himself over couple of seasons in pl and not play it safe it that s hit league

still doesnt make him a world beater though does it.

So should we go with all the other world beaters who are lining up to play for us?

If we can afford him (which we almost certainly can't) he is probably among the best players who would realistically sign for this team.

Or you can spend the money on someone unproven at the top level -- maybe they're Fellaini or maybe they're Bily. We (and every other team in the league) has seen both sides of potential. If we get money to spend (which, again, I don't think we have but what else is there to talk about?) they may have decided they can't afford to gamble on a maybe and they're going for a sure thing (or as sure a thing as one can get). I've heard worse ideas.

... and I know Moyes has said it isn't happening and we have no money and it's all moot but, again, we are Everton fans, we have to talk about transfers which can't happen because nothing ever happens.

if you read through the whole thread, instead of picking the bits you choose to attack with, you will realise that I have not dissed him once, all I stated originally was the fact that I didnt understand all of the hype and excitement over a six week signing who , in my opinion, is an above average premier league player,,,,, is that being disrespectful ???? some people need to get a grip and start being honest with yourselves.

your conveniantly changing his position to suit your argument... NANI, ASHLEY YOUNG, VALENCIA, MILNER. ADAM JOHNSON, OXLADE CHAMBERLAIN, ROSITSKY, AARON LENNON, SCOTT PARKER AND KUYT..........there's 10 players i would take ahead of him off the top of my head,,,, could be more if I took the time to think about it.

Try: Nani, Valencia, Milner, and Young. that's it.
