That Oban Distillers Edition is fab.

Had a bottle 10 years ago.
Absolutely loving it. Pure class. Summer here at the moment so am drinking more refreshing Vodka to change things up a little.
But am already thinking to where does one go in a quality purchase after the Oban?

More Oban.

Then Bunnahabhain.

The 18 is excellent, but the 12 is widely available and very good.

Although Islay, it's not peated.
I was given this to read for Christmas..

Bunnahabhain 18 : " On the nose, this whiskey begins with toffee and vanilla, through which clear hints of green banana, orange, and chocolate-covered cherry are soon detected. On the palate, the whiskey is creamy and mouth-coating. The finish is slightly astringent"

Mmmmmmmm

The 12 is excellent. Any Bunnahabhain is excellent.
I like the book's comments as well. Lock it in. My next to try. ;)
There is something very romantic visualising you guys during a cold UK winter evening sipping on a fine whiskey in front of a fire place.....
