Animals bumming ffs.
Only messing, cheers mate, appreciate it. I'll report back on my findings. I only really know red wine and rum so would like to know whisky a bit like.
see if you can get a 'taster menu'. One or two each of highland, lowland, islay, speyside, island (and possibly Campbelltown, although there are only two distilleries there now). This will help with what flavours you like best.
Either the Bells in Pitlochry or one in near by Blair Atholl mate. They're the two he linked.
We're staying a bit from there so have to come south to them. I hope we make it back.
The Glenturret is near Blair if I remember right, lovely malt they make there. The 18yo is gorgeous.
...the whisky is not bad either.
Couple of good links from tommye above.
Distilleries give you a free drink at the end of their tours too Chico. Most give you a good double (which I think is still a 1/5th gill up there) but Oban gave us one to walk around with AND one at the end.
Talisker gave us what was basically half a pint of scotch at the beginning and then steered us into the shop at the end. Scottish holidays are boss, come to think of it.
Glen Ord were tight with their freebies but it's a good one do I'll gloss over that.

If you do this then leave the heavily peated Islays until last or you won't be able to taste the other ones.
I reckon most malts are worth a taste neat before adding a drop of water. Quite a different taste experience.
Just having a 'Macallan, Directors Choice'
Dark, smooth.
Now a glenmorangie nectar d'or
Whadda ya mean, HALF bottle.*wishes he was back in Scotland
