Islay = Laphroig,
Jura = Superstition
Highland = Oban
Speyside = Glenfiddich 18yo

all of which are beautiful ;)
A mate of mine poured me a Highland this week at his house...oh yes. Very light, smooth...delicious.
I must try the Glenfiddich 18. Only tried the 12 and love it....can imagine the 18 would take it to the next level

Never drank the stuff ! I'm thinking of taking it up as winter closes in and Drambuie is too expensive at the moment! Gin is my drink (Plymouth) any advice on what to kick off with? would be thankful for any advice. Slainte Mhath..

Thursday evening I was offered a Yamazaki 25-year-old single malt - very different from Scottish single malts but absolutely delicious (at £700 a bottle it should be!)

Glenlivet or Singleton are both ace starter malts, nicely balanced and relatively light, but plenty of flavour. Or Highland Park if you fancy something a little more smoky.

Definitely is at that price. Is that Ardbeg a cask strength?

Uigeadail? At 54.2% presumably.

It's much sweeter and woody than the ten year old but still has the smoke you'd expect from an Ardbeg. A sherried Islay, basically. Really well balanced.

Actually, that's not fair. It's absolutely exquisite and I'm going to be very sad when I get to the bottom of the bottle.

Never come across the 25 year one but the 18 is absolutely sensational. Only came in here to post about it
