Maybe due to distance / Freight / lack of economies of scale / plain ignorance, hard to get anything like that bargin @ GBP26 say AU$40 in OZ, well in Brisbane anyway.

Also We have silly supermarket liquor laws and a near duopoly on off license premises

That is a good bottle, to be fair most Bowmores are. Im still saving for the Bowmore 1964, 2nd edition unfortunately as it is is cheaper of the two but its meant to be absolutely superb.

I saw a 1964 Bunnahabhain in 1998, in Elgin. Should've bought it then.
