Disappointing, at those prices I bet you could only try one glass of each...

Fantastic. Took a gamble on this bourbon from an indie distillery in Nevada, what a lovely whiskey, rich, smooth, complex. The fact that you can get such wonderful flavour from a mix of grain, water, yeast, wood and time and I can kick back and enjoy it here in Bristol brings me utter joy in these testing days. Wonderful.

The stopper is brass I think, weighs a ton.

My modest collection as it stands. The Macallan 18 has been sitting there for a while so will be properly introduced to the world in ~5 minutes.

An interesting collection. Inchgower is not a big seller , most of its production goes into Bells so it can be difficult to get. I’ve always got a bottle in reserve as a novelty for visitors who’ve travelled from outwith Scotland. I’ve long claimed on GOT to be the only one who can see a distillery from their conservatory window….. Inchgower is that distillery :)

I've been wondering about investing in a cask for each of my children as a long term investment (20years plus), with interest rates being so crap for such a long time. Anyone got any experience of this or any advice?

I've never invested money in anything before and am a complete neophyte when it comes to this stuff. It's the realm of grown-ups and capitalist pigdogs.
