It will be very interesting over the coming premiere league games regarding penalties post Niasse.

Let it be this thread where we keep an eye out for circumstances of deserved retroactivesness as the new standard requires. And discuss and rage when inevitably a situation arises like Niasse and no retroactiveness occurs.

I’ll answer this for everyone. The fallout from the Everton decision will put lots of pressure on this rule and there will be no more “acts of simulation” brought before it this season.

It will be reviewed in the summer and scrapped/changed radically.
