You think we will finish 5th next season? hahaha
I think Naismith is going to win the Ballon D'or.
What does it matter what I think or anyone else thinks? I want to enjoy football and watching my team- something that I've done immensely since the start of last season.
You just go from thread to thread sulking and complaining. Let people be happy.

Iv watched everton for over 50 years and seen us win lots of trophys. .its 19 years since won the cup,and it really is time we won a cup again any cup will do for starters.fingers crossed for a good season

I was also a little lad when we won in '95... But seeing Rideout score that goal in the final, us lifting the trophy and me celebrating with my dad afterwards are still one of my best memories I have...
But it was so long ago... And with each passing season the memory fades a bit more...
We need to win something soon, and I think this season we'll push it... A trip to Wembley at the very least...

If Arsenal had finished 5th while winning the cup last season they wouldn't be in posession of a shiny new Alexis Sanchez right now

Try telling an Arsenal fan that. They have had many a great player over the years, and won nowt, winning something is everything to them and real fans, coming 4th is failure without a cup

I'd take a run in the champions league over an FA cup win every time. The game has changed and the CL is where it's at.

We are Everton. We measure our success in terms of silverware. End of.

Its been 19 years since we won anything. Before that, it was 8 years. Basically, 1 FA Cup since 1987. Not good enough.

A run is nothing, who cares about a run, a run means you got beat. Just look at the bells across the park, they have a run in the CL this season but you wont see any celebrating being in the top 4 because when it comes down to it, they failed.

If Sunderland had won that league cup final, they would of had a better season last year than Liverpool and Chelsea.

No one cares about unsuccessful cup runs. As time passes all that people remember will be trophies. As of this current moment Martinez is measured by his FA cup win and Rodgers by his lack of silverware. No one will care in years to come that Wigan got relegated or that Rodgers almost won the prem or that Liverpool had a season in the CL (unless they win it). All the record will read is Martinez 1- Rodgers 0. Everyone knows this which is why trophies are everything and fans love them.
