Would it be better for us to sign younger players with potential if we can get hold of them before chelsea do, or buy season veterans a.k.a berbatov who offer nothing long term but boost the team in the short term?
It is the age old question, we sign a kid who in 3 years is really good but we drop league positions until then. Or we spend high wages on an experienced man who is worth nothing in the future with only a few years left out of him. It would be foolish to think that we could have the best of both worlds.
Is anyone else getting slightly agitated by the lack of transfer activity? I don't mean just for us but all round. For some reason i hope to read about players being bought and sold every day in the transfer window and so far.....nothing.

As for the inactivity. I'd expect it to pick up next week. Everybody has been a bit busy playing footy matches every 3 hours
