Already jailed Joey Barton is to be sentenced after pleading guilty to assaulting former teammate City's Dabo.

It states he knocked him out and then continued to hit him whilst he lay on the ground. For this he receives a suspended sentence.

Some will say 'well he has demons because of a drink problem'. But at what point will some one just say he is a pure and simple nasty, evil and wicked person with no respect for anyone.

Why though? For doing something similar in Liverpool city centre he gets prison but for another player a suspended sentence. If I was Dabo I would be most aggrieved.

What a promising career he appears to have thrown away.

Any sane fanbase for whoever he plays for will dislike him big time. Maybe they'd justify it by saying he's a talented footballer but...that just doesnt wash

I cant believe he didn't guy on talk sport remarked about it saying if hes jailed for attacking a scouser why didn't they jail him for attacking the footballer ,must admit a valid point but then I hate him nothing to do with football just saw his drunken antics .

I wouldnt mind him on a short term contract, give him the oppurtunity to prove himself.

Before my lambasting: Yes i am a fan of his footballing ability, and no i dont condone the behaviour he has exhibted at numerous times during his short but eventfull career.

Cant see him ever playing in Liverpool realisticly! Maybe Kirkby (Ducks)!

the guy is scum, no matter how skillfull/good he is at football he should have his registration cancelled, as a footballer he is bringing the game into disrepute every time he commits an offence, gordon taylor was saying he should go to the clinic set up by tony adams but said he doubts if he will. this guy does not deserve the lifestyle and salary that a footballer has, he probably has more in the bank than i will earn in my entire working life so feck him, cancel his registration and let him rot. if he ever turns out for us then i would be hard pushed to watch a team with him in it.
