I'd certainly be prepared to offer Barkley an improved contract now.

I presumed we would get Gylfi for £35m and Koeman was happy to sell Barkley for a similar a fee but seeing as Gylfi would cost £50m now I don't see the point in wasting money even if we can afford it. Use Rooney being here to convince Ross to stay.
