Great Dane

Player Valuation: £15m
If Bolton, Derby and Fulham are still bottom of the league next month and thus relegated who - if any- of their players would you like to join us.

Derby:
Hossam Ghaly £2 m. - should provide good cover on the wing
Giles Barnes £5 m.- could give Arteta a run for his money on the right
Tyrone Mears free - CB back-up, better than Gardner and not injured

Fulham:
Jimmy Bullard
£3 m. - possible starter in central midfield
Leon Andreasen £1.5 m. - I know this guy and he is a rough gem. Equally at home as a CB or defensive midfielder, has learned a lot from being in Germany.

Bolton:
Kevin Nolan £4 m.- major fan of his. My choice for captain and definate starter in a 5-man midfield
Matthew Taylor £3m. - I wanted us to buy him in January. Killer left foot and will keep Piennar on his toes.

i admit that i don´t know Derby good enough, but i say ok for the other players. Especially Leon A, think he will be good for us.

Supposed to be serious issues with him and training. Thinking he's too good for the team and stuff like that. Which is why he didn't last a week at Birmingham. Would really rebel against our team ethic I believe.

Can't disagree with you there. Decent player.

On a free yes.

Would add the fire that we miss when Cahill is not in the side, really knows how to get a team ticking again and you can't buy that. Great player.

Not seen enough of him to make a fair asessment.

Bolton:

Not for me, he's done nothing of worth this season.

Matthew Taylor £3m. - I wanted us to buy him in January. Killer left foot and will keep Piennar on his toes.
I agree, decent cover at left back and left midfield.

Birmingham:
Zarate £?m : Great player, a striker granted but how many times has he come off the bench this season and saved Birmingham. Could well be worth having incase we're struggling for injuries as we have done with AJ, Neech and Vaughany.

Brum will stay up I think, otherwise if they go down:

Liam Ridgewell £1. m. - again just as cover for the defense, still think he could be a very good player.
Gary McSheffrey £3 m. - full of tricks and an eye for goal
Olivier Kapo £3 m. - skilled midfielder could be pushing for starting 11
Fabrice Muamba £2 m. - upcoming player, but I like what I have seen so far.

dont Zarates club want £10m from Birmingham? not sure whether hes worth it.

Giles Barnes has had a lot of injury problems. hes out with a knee injury just now. good player though

it is a good idea to snap up these players for strength in depth, but we need to be looking for first 11 starters as well. Moyes has said he is looking at young english players, what are the odds he gives us the run-around and goes abroad?

very high judging by some of the offers that we're making.

We've enquired about Kim Kallstrom and that belgian guy. according to their clubs, neither of which are british players. He also said he wants to buy quality players...I'm not sure there are many top quality englishmen available to us the only one I can think of is Bentley who is likely to cost 4-5 times as much as Kallstrom and co.

I agree it's only Bentley and Downing who are getable and who does'nt play for one of the Sky Big Four. The good Aston Villa(Barry, Gabby, Young) and Spurs(Woodgate, Huddlestone, Lennon, Jenas) could be, but all would command massive fees that IMO don't match their ability.

Any of these a right back because that's is the absolute first area that needs strengthening followed by another midfielder or two and then another striker.

...and then another GK.

(That's for you BobtheSnatch...)

tbh i think the most important area is midfield. we need two (at least one) top quality CM, a pacey left winger and a big grok for when we play bigger teams. ideally one of these players will be able to fill in upfront (ala Cahill/*Arshavin*) in case of an injury crisis.

*we wont be getting Arshavin, just an example*

Giles Barnes is a decent player but i have to be honest i dont like his attitude, form teams down there i wouldnet mind Ryan Taylor seems to be a stady attacking right back with an eye for goal and someone we know Moyesey is intrested in as hes bid before.

Intresting to see a few names being lined up for the chop at Chelsea that i think we should have a look at : SWP, Tel Ben Haim and Sidwell.

So for me id be happy to take a punt on any of the below:

Barnes
Kightley
Ben Haim
Sidwell
Ledley
Ramsey (hearing some awsome stuff about this lad)
Mc Geadey

Important to stress i would see these signings as our domestic signings but would expect more established CL or Foreign singings coming in.
