should they cancel the lap of honour?

In 60yrs I've never felt such bad feeling towards a manager, i sit in the parked and have never ever felt so much hate for a manager.. And as for big Dunc you can do one to.. if only he moved so fast when he was playing as he did jumping off the bench defending fat Sam today.. Remember we pay your wages

Hardly. Less than 10% of the club's income comes through the turnstiles.
As for Allardyce, I don't particularly like the guy's personality or his 'tactics'. But as far as I'm aware he didn't appoint himself to the job. Nor was I expecting him to turn out Guardiola-type football.
I find the supporters' verbal treatment of him an absolute disgrace. Totally classless, and degrading more to the fans than the manager.

You don't pay his wages, and Duncan has tried to do his job under tough circumstance, while certain other evertonians have been causing turmoil to look after themselves, the way he gets spoken about by a section of our fans disgusts me

They have to be given the chance to thank the fans for having to come back and support them every game, that's what the lap of honor is for imo. Players thanking the fans.

Fans don't have to clap back and it gives them a chance to properly give their feedback on player performance

The danger of not cheering our steadfast lads off the pitch is that they might get the ‘ump and down tools next season. Our indomitable lads are pretty quick to take offence and must be handled carefully and always be made to feel special.
I hope the whole of Goodison gives our brave lads a raucous send-off and perhaps even have a whip around for donations to present to our lion hearted lads. Hopefully if we can convince them that we are really grateful to have such skilled and intrepid players represent us, they might choose to occasionally put a shift in next season. The last thing we should do is criticise our fearless lads...what a season they’ve given us...we are so lucky.

Ha ha ha a master class in sarcasm there!lol

They should thank us by trying their very best in every game. Has Schneiderlin, for example, done this?

IMHO, it's not JUST the manager. Almost every player should take a look at their performances this year as completely and utterly unacceptable.

Of course they will look in the mirror for a minute and realize they just made a couple hundred in the time they took doing that and move on with their lives.

Well they obviously haven't, but I mean the whole concept of a lap of appreciation is to the fans, fans can show their displeasure at that if they should wish.

Wow. Never seen it so poorly attended.

Part of me wishes I had stayed for it because I do really like about 12 of the squad and it is Sam and the off pitch guys I am most annoyed with but honestly it just seemed so pointless. So many away games this year they barely put in a pass or tackle and could hardly get off the pitch quick enough..... Some of the kids are sweet/hilarious though!!
