We weren't great, but we won.
I'm still in favour of giving him time.

The thing is that people like you and me are of the opinion that we're not good enough right now but since we're in no danger of relegation there's no real danger in carrying on with martinez and hoping he turns it around. The sack him people are of the opinion that we are in danger of relegation so we need to make a change to avoid it.

The latter argument has been somewhat weakened by this win. We look out of immediate danger and that's the only argument that demands change now.

Doesn't mean I think we're playing as good as we should be, mind. It's still well below par. But that's a conversation for the end of the season. You only change midseason if you're worried about going down if you don't.

No much improvement, I thought Palace set up poorly v our system. I missed our goal and fell asleep at half time. I just can't get excited watching us play how we are. That said 3 points is the main thing today

I'm still in the cheese on toast side and would have voted so in the last polls if it were an option. Can't say I'm more convinced either way after today. Today wasn't a display of Roberto's tactics, it was the most Moyes-like performance we have seen in ages, hanging onto a 1-0. They still aren't creating enough up front which is supposedly one of Martinez's playstyle's strengths.

Definitely a "moyes performance" today. Hardly any flair and creativity but more on running and clearing danger with a direct approach and attacking with pace. This is the foundation we should build on, flair and creativity will sort itself out when confident returns in a couple of games. What I'm worried is reverting back to aimless slow build up that require 40 passes to create a chance but ending up losing possession around the 15 passes mark 9 out of 10 times with only one shot on target all game.

Today was a great win, but if you voted for him to go after the West Brom game there is no reason to change your mind just because we have won at Palace, a massive win for sure but we havent turn the corner, just got a much needed win in a vital six pointer.
