Should Everton learn from Juve's mistake?

it was already there rook, it was the stadium that they used for the 1934 olympics or something, renamed communale and then they went to the alpi in about '90. so the land etc was there. juve are going to build 1 inside the alpi. it seems the location was one of the unpopular things about the place, so thats not being solved. when you read about the stadium, it's just a big duck egg, juve wanted to move after 4 years. both new grounds are small capacities in any country tbh, you would think a club like juve would be getting something bigger, but then their attendances arent that high.
i always thought the bayern ground looked ace, yet apparently it's very unpopular.

In all honesty anything is better than Kirkby. If for financial reasons we must move then fine but there is not enough scope at Kirkby to make it worth while.I would far sooner play a season at any ground the club choose and move back to a refitted Goodison.the sooner we ditch Kirkby the sooner plan B will appear trust me i'm an Evertonian who saw dashing Dave from the boys pen(y)

I agree, Roy. It wouldn't be the end of the world to play a season at Anfield (of course they would tell us to [Poor language removed] off) or any other local stadium if the bonanza at the end is a new improved Goodison. Imagine the season when the clubs returns to its refitted spiritual home. What a feeling that would be.

We should either groundshare, or find a temporary stadium, and make a completely new stadium where goodison is...

It would be a great idea. Refurbishment would only be half a job it's all or nothing at Goodison. A new ground on the existing footprint, without obstructed views. There must be a decent arcitect out there who could make it work.

If the Kirkby deal dies this is the best plan B. Fingers crossed.

Moysey says:

“I know why people are against it but anyone who has seen Bayern Munich share with 1860 Munich can see how it’s done. One week it’s red, the next week blue," said Moyes.

“There are a lot of plusses.”

Allianz Arena - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Its the most wonderful stadium as well. All the haters should consider the choice. Would you rather go to Kirkby, in some lifeless stadium, miles away from our "home" or would you rather share with the RS and get a stadium like the Allianz, a stadium that is respected around the world.

We do not have the money to re-build Goodison, its what we all want, but it sadly cant be done, we dont have the money to build a new stadium, even IF a site could be found within the city. But if we got into bed with the scum, we could both pool our resources, sell our stadiums, get LOTS of help from grants from EU money, Grants off the Council, can you imagine how happy the council would be that they are gonna have 1 of the worlds best Stadia in the City?, money off naming rights. Hell most of it would be paid and we would merely have to find the same money we need for Kirkby.

So what if the [Poor language removed] get better attendances, they do now. A lot of us share a house, share a workspace, share a drink, share a girl, why not share a stadium, not just any stadium, the best stadium in the world.

The way things stand it seems like we have three options:

(1) Kirkby (boo, hiss)
(2) A refurbished Goodison
(3) Share with the [Poor language removed]

Number (1) is a [Poor language removed] offer and we ought to be avoiding it like the plague. Number (2) is what we all probably want and could be had for a similar price to Kirkby, despite what the club say. Number (3) was bad a couple of years ago but is becoming increasingly desirable now that Kitkby looms on the horizon. Although I still want (2) to happen, (3) would be acceptable. And probably for a stake of £200m (we'll find that spare change in Bill's old coat), we really would be sitting in a world-class stadium.

I vote for the first ever floating stadium, how cool would it be to have a stadium boat, would bring new meaning to the phrase threading water.

We could sail about during the week and be in the city on Match days!

I think im cleansed, Ive been cured, i no longer think of Kirkby as an option. Not that ive changed my mind, cos i voted NO in the 1st place, but i just thought it was an option, but the more i think about it, [Poor language removed] it, its a [Poor language removed] idea.

SAY NO TO DK.

Chico you disgust me.
