Said it before and I won't change my mind..... Duffy isn't ever gonna be good enough for a top prem side..... Apparently he's a really great lad and has a fantastic attitude , he's also a decent player and will have a very good career ,sadly it will be with a club like Hull or Leicester. Shame really.

....not really a shame, if your prediction is right he will end up a very wealthy man compared to the majority of youngsters rejected by top clubs. In fact, I suspect he's already a wealthy lad.

I agree.

I just mean its a shame his future won't be with us.

I could be wrong and will gladly admit it when the time comes.

And now we await July 1st when it turns out nothing happens and I made it up because I'm bored...

How do ya know

The first time I saw Everton (I actually think it was a first division XI, captained by peter Reid with Southall in goals) was in 1986 or 87, in Drogheda. Been a massive fan of both clubs ever since. Got both players autographs on the programme somewhere. Everton played Drogheda again in the mid 90's. Amokachi scored a screamer to win it.

Also saw them play Home Farm Everton around 1996 in Whitehall. Cant remember the score. I do remember there being more merchandise on sale than there was at the DC united game a couple of years ago but I guess thats for another thread! Would have loved one of those Home Farm jerseys. The fa Cup one but instead of Danka, it had Everton across the front.

I was at both Drogheda games. The first one I was on the piss with my mates all day in Dublin then went by train. It was a long walk on a hot day from the station to the ground!! Remember very little about the game!
The second one, I was by now driving and brought my young nephew - unfortunately his other uncle who is a kopite turned him from the true Faith!! He still claims Everton is his second favourite English team !!!
For the Home Farm game I drove 4 other Blues from Kilkenny and Carlow - it was 1995.
Anyway, well over time for Everton to visit the Tallaght Stadium
