Shane Duffy

I wouldn't write him off because he's not strictly a Martinez type CB, look at Jags and Distin, they adjusted their game in their 30s so Duffy could easily do it.

Whether or not he's talented enough, I couldn't answer. Looked solid in the Moyes days, had a shocking pre-season last year, not too sure about his Yeovil spell.

So many people desperate to write him off

Really upsetting

yea, it's weird, you'd swear he had played gash for a whole season with Everton, instead he excelled on loan in the championship and made his full international debut. Even if he does make it, seems like some will have it in for him no matter what, step aside Ossy, Shane is here to take the fans guff

He is the new Ossie in that regard

So many supporters seem to be driven by this desire to see Shane fail and I just can't understand why

Yep.

Loving the 'didn't put a foot wrong' shouts, here's one http://www.ciderspace.co.uk/asp/news/news.asp?NewsItemId=21468 here's another http://www.yeovilpress.co.uk/blog/2014/01/11/yeovil-town-1-burnley-2-mistakes-cost-glovers/ and you could usually find one a week for him for the first half if that season.

Won't make it.
Wow, two random articles. You could probably find two occasions where Jags messed up this season, Coleman got a nice OG against Southampton, must be crap so. He was the last line of defense for what was probably the worst team in the division. He likely saw far more action playing at the heart of the busiest defense in the league, bound to make a few mistakes. I don't think he's perfect, I don't think he's a defender like Stones. He will be a very good squad player, and if you saw Evertons miserable efforts at corners last season, you'd agree.

Not for Everton.

You've gotta love GOT. I remember people on here writing off Barkley.
Might not have the ball playing skills of an Alcaraz but has the physical presence.

Hope he makes it.
