Shame it's not January

IMO it's a shame it's not January, with all this euphoria surrounding him we'd get 20m+ for McFadden.

He's not consistent, never has been, and disappears once a defender has the making of him. Don't get me wrong, I do like him, at times, but far too often he runs like a headless chicken into defenders and / or fails to see where other team mates are. Boy can he hit a ball though.

Right now we have half the forum clamouring for him to start ahead of AJ which is certainly not in Moyes grand scheme of things. Read back through the pre- season chat about him in this forum, there were plenty then who were happy to let him go.

I think this issue with McFadden and one that even his detractors would agree upon is that he hasn't been given a good run of games. In addition, he's been played in midfield as well when he's an out and out striker.

The combination of the two hasn't allowed McFadden to develop. My hope is that he starts to see more of the pitch and while I'm not clamoring for Moyes to drop AJ, I don't think it would hurt to get Faddy into a match earlier than minute 80.

I'd really like to see what he could do for us given more opportunities.

I guess it comes down to contributions to the side. AJ hasn't scored in a dozen or so games but probably contributes a lot to the way we play. Other players who go that long without a goal get pilloried for it.

mcfadden got a run of games towards the end of the 05-06 with beattie upfront.

if i recall correctly thats when he scored a whopper from distance at boro to make it 1 - 1

that was also the season he put that whopper in from distance against fulham to make it 3 - 1 i think.

charlton last season, outside the box and put a whopper in in the 91st minute to make it 2 - 1.

anyone noticing a trend?

No but all of a sudden, I'm craving Burger King. :P

music

I am not talking about our glorious anthem (johnny todd) but dont you all think we are way behind in any other music played on matchdays ? we have quite a few celebrity fans support the Blues, many of them musicians. Isaw paul draper (MANSUNS frontman) at the blackburn game, i shudder to think what these guys think of our choice of music! Maybe we should be asking them to write a few ditties for us, anyway maybe this will get us away from one anothers throats about MR Moyes and others who take unfair stick, EEDRA, (COYB)
