Thought that was a good fast paced half. Under the cosh initially but grew into the game with some nice football. Just a shame we cannot take any decent chances that come our way.

Sevilla despite having trained a couple of weeks less...are on top...very concerned that our players need so much space to control a ball whereas sevilla players are controlling balls like professional footballers should...our best chances and only 2 chances feel at the feet of the worst finisher ever...dcl...we need a striker that can score goals not only have great movement

No one's convincing me anymore that DCL is anything more than this generations slightly better Cameron Jerome.

Work rate, great.
Always a handful for a defender and generally decent hold up play.
But nowhere near the level of finishing needed for a top tier team.

The 1st one you can forgive on it's come at him quickly and on his weaker side still should have had a better connection, the 2nd chance was just pathetic, had that defender beaten all day for pace and strength after a good touch, instead panic's, doesn't back his left foot and just hopelessly punts a stretching outside the foot effort closer to the corner flag than the net from about 6 yards out.

We've looked decent in the most that half but like most of pre season so far utterly useless in the final third.

Sevilla seem to work off the ball in 3's and 4's whereas we are 1's and 2's but regardless it is a good work out for the defence and midfield.........forget about up top
