Seventh Place

I don't think we will get 7th, we would need to win 4 out of the last 5 and hope that Wolves and Leicester lose a few. Also it is still possible that 7th wont get European football anyway. Its still possible that Watford will win the cup and get that place.
On cup final day City will have won the league, will be looking to do the domestic treble, and players will be playing for their place in the Champions league final.
City will beat Watford

Does anyone with a degree in Statistics know whether we are likely to get Europa League football next year!!

Given the form of English clubs in Europe and the top teams in the domestic cups it feels like the placing may go down quite a way in the league

Seems like it may be beyond 7th
Cant have more than 7 teams in european competition.
If the PL get 5 CL places then its only 2 EL places

I'm in the skip 7th so we don't play in the Europa league unless we use the Europa league to give the fringe players like James McCarthy, some youth to see how they do like Lewis Gibson etc. Also playing nearly every Sunday is absolutely awful, I hate it.

That 11 should get us through the qualifiers

If the 5th or 6th place teams were to win either the EL or CL, would 7th get one of the EL group stage spots?
Its not simple but as far as I can tell the Czech Rep cup winner would get the group stage spot as the highest ranking country without an automatic group stage team.

The BBC have outlined all the possibilities.
The maddest one I think is of Man utd win the champions league and finish 5th and arsenal win the Europa league and finish 6th, they both get in the champions league and whoever is 4th ends up in Europa!

Wouldnt like to call it either way currently, had a look at all 4 teams and they have all got some really tough games left, so for me its just impossible to call it at this point, this will go to the last day.

There's quite a few things wrong in that bbc article and it doesn't answer the lads question anyway.

The conclusion that its possible for 9 english teams to be in Europe is laughable to say the least.

As long as we dont have to play in Europe next season i dont care who wins what and who comes where, well apart from the PL title of course!!

I'd say Everton need a minimum of 3 wins and a draw from their last 5 games to be in with a shout of 7th place and even then we'll need a slice of luck with other results.

7th place will definitely mask the problems we've had this season and some of the very poor football we've played at times but if it's a sign of things turning around and a platform for a good summer transfer window then we'll all be happy.

We have only played at home on a saturday 6 times this season so not really an issue

SIX TEAMS AT THE TOP
Thirteen teams below us
One in two points dropped

....not sure if you’ve checked who City are competing with for the league, i’m afraid you could be very wrong with your prediction.
