Probably the worst I've seen him play for a long time. Lukaku has been just as bad, but to be fair - whilst I think he'd have had a shocker anyway as he is wildly inconsistent and wasn't going to replicate that Brazil game - I don't think this is a game for strikers. Both sides have ridiculous talent in the areas just behind the striker that it's inevitable the play will utilise that and skip the forward.

De Bruyne, Hazard, Mbappe, Griezmann and Matuidi have been the best players on the pitch for that reason.

It's almost comical how bad Giroud has been. He can't even keep up with attacks. Probably the only thing that gives Croatia/England hope in the final.
