We were in a relegation scrap and he refused to warm up and sat on the ball because he was kicking off that Lampard had benched him.Him and Lampard fell out to the point they nearly came to blows at FF,which subsequently meant he was out the team.
That's not downing tools.
"Mr World class" in his own head.
You know who the real players are when the chips are down.
When you go back and look at that game it was patched up team with players out of position Jimmy and Dwight wing backs,we played 3 at the back which NEVER works for us,it was a game played under the most extreme pressure.
I think we can look back now on reflection at how the likes Coleman, Coady,Doucoure,Mina when fit, stepped up during that period and never went missing,we were probably lucky we had such strong characters regardless of their of footballing ability.
Look at Spurs now, they've got the ability but zero character.
Horrible times but certain players can look back it and be proud of their contribution...Onana can leg it.
Just seen a talkSPORT clip on YouTube of him on there this morning .
Putting aside I think he did pretty well for much of his time here , certainly not all , he absolutely adores himself . I know it’s a game where arrogance is fed but honestly I’m not sure I’ve seen anyone quite so pleased with themselves as him . It’s actually made a little bit more annoying by the clearly faux modesty that accompanies it .

Has he ever acknowledged that he was blatantly wrong about O'Brien?
I've seen many idiotic and incompetent decisions and policies from Everton managers down the years but that one is right up there with them; months of "not good enough" followed by Moist's immediate genius tactical masterstroke of actually giving him a chance. I hope Thelwell sends him a card on every anniversary of JOB's signing reminding him about it.
Fella is the most arrogant, fragile-ego tosser in football. Is it any wonder his players unanimously hate him to a man. Relegating this Thatcher-loving kopite couldn’t possibly be topped by any trophy ever.
But you hang on his every word
Hilarious if he gets the Spurs job, that will be two prem jobs since you predicted he’d be unemployed.
You’d absolutely cack yourself make no mistake about it. I’d make sure you never heard the end of it if we relegated him. Hopefully you get longer than 3 months to bask in the glory of his next job anyway.
What an absolutely strange thing to commit to
This is his second job now since he left Everton and you’re still this warped by him. I’d love it if we beat Spurs as it could well mean Europe yet you’re celebrating an ex Everton manager being relegated with another club like you’ve won the World Cup.
When was he appointed by Spurs? What an absolutely strange thing to commit to
