I can think that Dyche is an average manager, and also think he is way down the list of who is to blame for our likely relegation.
Managers
always get too much credit when things go well and too much flak when things go badly. It’s the players, when they’re on the pitch, that really make the difference and we don’t have enough quality in our squad.
A perfect example of this is when you hear about a player who is absolutely boss in training but does sod all when picked for the first team. The manager is bound to pick players who look good in training and it’s up to them to take that into a match. If they don’t, that’s on them.
I’m not defending our manager(s), just saying that too much emphasis is placed on their contribution. The owner/board/DOFs are responsible for our current squad of feeble ball dodgers.
If they’d brought in players like Reidy, Cantona, Kompany - natural leaders on the pitch - we’d be comfortably mid-table or above. Instead we’ve got this shower.
