2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Well in football I've seen a lot of times that you give credit to a manager to keep him in tough times, but these words are nothing worth 2 weeks later and he's sacked.

He's in trouble i'd imagine if all the players who were "unavailable" for our cup exit on Tuesday play and we get beat again. To forfeit any professional game is sackable, especially when that could have been the last cup game at Goodison ever. No sympathy at all if it pans out that way.

With the greatest of respect, i wish people would stop harping on about 'difficult circumstances'

He has good players at his disposal, its not as if the club hasn't spent money while he has been here £50m this summer/£40m last summer, only really selling Onana & Iwobi who were regular first team players.
We don’t have a good team. We don’t have match winners.
We can’t compete for decent players. Our signings are all gambles. We can’t paint a clear picture of progress and meet the salary expectations of our better players.
It’s difficult circumstances by any standard.

Exactly. He's got a stronger squad to work with this season compared to last season.

We lost Onana, who Dyche miserably failed to get the best out of anyway, and added O'Brien, Ndiaye and Aroegbunam and some others (Lindstrom, Broja) who have a chance to make their mark.

Dyche for some reason felt it necessary to come out with a public display of support for Keane based on him being at the heart of a defence that leaked goals against abysmal opposition in pre-season.

He then went about making a series of awful decisions in fixtures which cost us vital points.

He's only got himself to blame, not injuries, not noise, not uncertainty, not hot air or atmosphere. 100% on the manager so far.

All the while, needing to sell players to raise funds and slash the wage bill.

I agree 100%.

They can back him as much as they want but if we keep losing then he will be gone. Everyone who received backing because they were doing crap got sacked in the end.
