2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

He's wildly frustrating. There's games where experimenting or taking a risk with subs wouldn't go amiss. Very rigid in his approach.

But so are a lot of managers.

At about this stage we were worrying about Martinez, Koeman, Benitez and Lampard being on a downward trajectory and being too stubborn or able to address it.

Yet Dyche has just got a win and away draw - so he hasn't completely lost the plot like they had.

II have the same concern as most here - he can't win games / get the 3 points we need - even though he can make us hard to beat (unlike some of the managers above...).

It's a matter of when he ceaces to be Everton manager, no it's or buts...
No one here thinks he going to manager for the next 1000 years.
What a terrible argument for keeping Dyche.

If we get rid we just might be even worse than we are now

From a pure footballing perspective I'd like to see the end of Dyche now and if Wolves and Southampton get a new manager bounce ( perhaps unlikely) we could be in difficulties if we miss the same boat.

The only argument for retaining Dyche is that we are supremely confident that we will stay up even with him in charge and it's easier to attract a better quality manager and allow them to reorganize in the summer.
This is my position tbh.

It’s risky changing manager now and Dyche is actually doing enough

I feel the momentum in this thread at this point is with the Dychettes. Calm and reason has broke out so I do hope the Super Boos regather and respond shortly.

It’s a widely held view that Dyche did well last season. In that season he broke a near 150 year club record of longest winless streak in Everton history… I’d hate to see him have a bad season and this one has been absolutely abysmal so far.
We had a long winless streak? Why hadn’t anyone mentioned this

The closer he gets to the end of his contract, the more the players will phone it in. Potentially at exactly the wrong time of the season.
ITs crazy that people think the players care how long a manager has left on his contract.

They only care about how long THEY have.

And I suspect most cant wait to see the back of this terrorist.
