I’ve had a season ticket now for 22 years. My 20 minute walk to the match every other week is out of sheer habit and the fact I’m waiting and hoping for something better next year in the stadium.
I dread going the match under Dyche as I know I’ll hate every last second of it as it’s not enjoyable in the slightest. It bores me that much, it puts me off watching any other footy.
Walking back home after Brentford, big game kicking off at half 5 and I couldn’t be bothered in the slightest watching it as I’ve been drained of football.
Quite a few lads I drink with are similar to yourself, long term season ticket holders, but they’ve stopped going for all the reasons you mention above.
Most weekends in the pub, they’re offering their tickets around the pub, like they’ve always done when they couldn’t go.
The difference is now, no one wants them, not even the pub arlarse who’ll have anything for free.
Virtually to a man, they all say the same thing “ if we weren’t moving to a new stadium, I wouldn't be renewing again “
Many times over the years I’ve taken my own lad on the back of freebies c/o the lads from the pub, but now when he’s home from Uni, he’s saying to me “ what’s the point “.
The last few remaining of his supporters on here can defend him all the want, but to me when people are turning down free tickets due to knowing how bad the footy is going to be, before a ball is even kicked, sums up exactly what Dycheball has / is doing to our club.
