Seamus Coleman

To be fair, even when the ball got lost between his legs as he turned yet again to try to find a way past the full back, he put in a near match winning cross.

He needs to be running at pace to really be effective and they gave him no space.

piss poor performance, literally nearly trips over his own feet then pits in a belter of a ball for Davies to nearly win the game.

Even when he's crap ( which he seriosiyk was tonight ) he still just keeps on going so fair play

He was almost responsible for us scoring two goals, so forget about the mistakes he made. One thing I have noticed; we are much better in the attack when Seamus is further up the pitch. Defenders always have to account for him, and as a result they cannot narrow the pitch. Notice how Stoke pinned Seamus back in the second half and our attack was nonexistent for the majority of the second.

What this tells me: We desperately need two GOOD wingers to stretch the pitch. If we don't get those wingers, we will have to rely on the 3 back formation and push Seamus further down the field. Otherwise we will struggle to score goals.

Other than Morgan and Robles nobody played well but the great thing about Seamus is that he gives
it everything and once again he scores.. what more can we ask?

Loved it when he gave a rollicking to Holgate when the youngster got sucked into the centre leaving Arnoutivitch
a great chance in the first half. Loved it too when he ran over to the linesman to argue the case for the goal.

Seamus has assumed responsibility, scores loadsa goals, can do the odd nasty tackle and is a can-do full-back. Compare and contrast with Hibbert.
