Some of those folks are more annoyed at the club for giving him another 12 month deal off the back of a season where he had played very little. We need to stop keeping players hanging around when they are well past being able to contribute on the pitch, but that`s not the players fault it`s the clubs fault.His best days are way behind him, but what a guy to have about the place. He could give him another 12 month extension so he could sit on the bench alongside the players we signed last summer that have just sat on the bench playing very little. I`d prefer we gave contracts to players that will be available to play for us, not just for their national team, and add a bit to the squad rather than fill the bench when fit.
It's probably because he has barely played for us for about 4 seasons now.
