Why hasn’t he retired from international football yet? It’s not like he has any hope of going to a major tournament or anything. I would’ve thought our captain and leader would like to preserve himself for the club that pays him very well and has stuck by him through a horrific injury previously (that he picked up on international duty)

Free travel/time home from time to time

Coleman this season will be very much like Baines in his last season. Everyone knows his legs have gone, but with proper back up (which he would get from Tarks, Coady, Gana etc.) he will be fine. Lampa just has to tell him to spand the whole match in his own half, let others put in the miles, he just sits back and defends!

Exactly it’s about Coleman knowing his limitations now and adapting plenty of cb have had no pace but very clever and read the game just need Coleman to keep his position that’s also down to Lampard player management as well
