Hang on...big business (Nissan) provide the jobs because Nissan etc have a heart of gold and want to give people who live in the UK $$$ so that they can go out and spend those $$$. Nissan will leave UK if we crash out of the EU....so UK people wont have $$$ to spend anymore.

I believe they are trying to convey what the UK future will be in particular the comparative attractiveness of Sunderland compared to the rest of the EU post-Brexit, all done in the eyes of the global board of directors. ;)
 
Not a fan of name calling and general nastiness either in politics or anywhere else TBH but sadly it's the order of the day. When you have a thread called "scummy Tories" along with endless examples of needless name calling for leave voters and itt's either applauded or just accepted as perfectly fine then it can't come as a shock when you get the same type of name calling from the other side in response. Maybe if we could all just get back to recognising that the vast majority of men/woman in this world are actually good people who sincerely believe they're doing what's best for their country and fellow humans. I don't know, I just think it's sad that people have to take such a depressingly negitive view on those they politically disagree with and have to think the worst of them.

Not disagreeing but it’s just whataboutery isn’t it ? They’ve said annoying or hurtful things so nobody can be surprised we’ve replied . If somebody is offending someone then I’m unsure the best response is to reply in kind personally but each to their own .

Plenty of stuff thrown by both sides in these debates , the reality is there are less leavers on here but let’s not kid ourselves if you were the type to be offended it wouldn’t be difficult to be. some seem to take it to heart more than others and seem appalled quite easily whilst apparently totally lacking in self awareness.

Politics does seem to have become more divisive and Brexit seems to be the pinnacle of that , this was posted to generate an argument or discussion at least and probably caused a post pub @peteblue a smile as he did it . So mission accomplished from his point of view i’d Guess .

I don't disagree, hence the reason I won't personally be partaking in name calling myself, I can only be accountable for myself after all. I also agree that it's hardly helpful to respond to name calling by doing it yourself but it's human instinct to respond like that.

I'd imagine there's far more leave voters, Tories and supporters of all other kinds of parties on here then you might think, who simply chose to not make posts on politics that will inevitably lead them to endless arguments with fellow blues.
