I suspect you haven't a clue about the devastation piled on Liverpool in the 1980s under the Thatcher regime... Do you really understand the real meaning of what devastation is, having used the term...?

What a bizarre attack/assumption.

What does the devastation to Liverpool in the 1980s have to do with Brexit, and why would you assume an Everton fan has no clue about the "managed decline"/Thatcher years?

I believe we started a discussion (well I tried to anyway), so your view of my losing an argument is hilarious (you ARE very good at being hilarious, but don't give up your day job - you'll never make a living from it from what I've seen so far...).

If you've nothing constructive to add to the argument then I suggest you leave the thread....

If you were to read the thread again you will see reference to 'devastation' re the impact of Brexit.

My point to the other person, and now you, is that devastation is nothing new, and was happening in my lifetime under the Thatcher regime, and I gave a couple of examples of it which directly affected the Liverpool workforce. One could also add the dockers scenario...

THAT was the reference to the point re devastation.

Well of course devastation is nothing new. I don't think anyone is arguing that Brexit could be the first time devastation occurs in the history of our country.

I still fail to see the relevance - you might need to spell out your point a little more clearly.

I think he means if things go to crap post Brexit, he can handle it because he survived thatcher.
Sleep easy everyone.
