Current Affairs Scummy Remainers.....

I was given nothing, inherited nothing. If you are referring to my kids then tough, because I’ve got a lot more stuffed away for them in the future as well......
Exactly like I said....spoilt and clearly.....having had everything handed to them....know the price of everything....and the value of nothing.... Everything wrong with modern society....

Why bother with nuance and when you can paint a picture based on your own prejudice.

What do you mean by that?
You worked around the world - nationalised rail helped get you to places. Housing was affordable. You had the NHS. You will have been afforded extra helping hands as a white man (you may have had less if you were working class but you still had them). It’s bogglingly self absorbed and arrogant to suggest no one helped you.

I worked around the world. Nationalised rail didn’t get me anywhere. Housing is still affordable, but may need work ( a word you may not understand). I bought private health insurance. No one helped me.....

They are of your generation.......like many others.....my kids are hard workers.....

At what point did I say baby boomers were crap parents that didn't work hard?
You didn't, but I never said you did.

You did, however, say they were Xenophobic and hoarding half the nations wealth. You also accused them of leaving the younger generation saddled in debt and of taking away their right to determine their own future. You painted a picture that the baby boom generation basically didn't give a damn about their grand children and great grand children, and insinuated that they had all become extremely wealthy whilst contributing f all to their offspring's upbringing.

I just pointed out that this is just not true, and that many of the baby boom generation would have been deeply offended by your comments.

As indeed I was......

I don't buy into this 'the previous generation have ruined things for us', neither do I think all young people are work shy.

The current intergenerational bitterness seems engineered somewhat, in the same way that people are being primed to consider public servants as lazy and ungrateful.

Others did though.....

Actually, just had a look on Google Earth. It’s quite a nice little house on a decent street. Others have sold for £40K. Worth a go if you need a house.......
Funny you say that, I was just looking as well. If you bought a house in the area in 1998, it would have cost you about £8000, in 2004 about £50000. I wonder if wages have increased in line with that change in valuation?
